Rules and Laws

​​​WW promotes compliance by providing assistance and/or enforcing permit conditions required of municipalities, solid waste facilities, industry and the public. It works to advance the lawful management of solid waste and wastewater. It primarily enforces the WV Solid Waste Management Act (Chapter 22-15), the WV Water Pollution Control Act (CSR 22-11), and the WV Groundwater Protection Act (Chapter 22-12); and the regulations promulgated thereunder: CSR47-02, 10, 11, 58 and 59 and CSR33-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9.
